The signing ceremony marks the transition of the Convention from the text formulation stage to the stage of international acceptance and implementation. By signing or depositing instruments of ratification/acceptance/accession, signatory states bring the Convention into force in their domestic legal order (in accordance with the Convention provisions and the conditions for its entry into force). This section displays the list of signatory countries and their current status of signing/ratification/entry-into-force, and provides relevant official documents and addresses.
